Loker S1 Di Yayasan Konservasi Pesisir Indonesia Medan Juli 2022 – The Indonesian Coastal Conservation Foundation “YAKOPI” is a non-profit organization based in North Sumatra and Aceh that has worked with stakeholders at all levels on programs to conserve and restore mangrove forests.

We also work with coastal communities, academics, and the Environment and Forestry Office (DLHK) as policy makers. We encourage the preservation and conservation of existing mangroves, educate about how to restore damaged or unhealthy mangrove ecosystems, and encourage generations. to actively pay attention to local forests.

Why are we doing this? Because healthy mangroves can provide sustainable livelihoods for coastal communities (especially the poorest) and reduce their vulnerability to natural events such as hurricanes and storm surges. Mangroves also provide a number of other benefits to the world at large – including absorbing and storing more carbon than any other forest type.

1. LEGAL OFFICER (MEDAN)

Job Description
1. Conduct legal studies (not limited to legal opinions) on various policies and regulations as well as relevant materials related to forests and land as well as the environment, analyze information for the preparation of studies, reports and policy inputs.
2. Provide appropriate and quality opinions/advice and legal assistance to the Foundation
3. Build / maintain good relations with external parties (government, relevant stakeholders, other legal advisors) related to the needs of the Foundation to facilitate efficient communication both internally and externally.
4. Coordination with the team regarding legal risks and legal actions that will be taken in connection with the activities of the Foundation
5. Perform other work in the legal department required by the organization

Job Requirements
– Minimum specification S1 Law
– Minimum 1 years experience in the field of law (law firm / LBH)
– Have knowledge of environmental law
– Have the ability to speak English both active and passive, especially Legal English
– Able to operate Microsoft Office
– Have passion and commitment to handle or provide public legal assistance
– Have the ability to meet deadlines
– Have strong and persuasive and honest communication skills
